THE CROSSINGS

SOME BACKGROUND AND HISTORY

The Crossings Homeowners Association was incorporated under the laws of the State of Illinois as a not-for-profit corporation. Its purpose is to administer and operate the 226 residential units located in Buffalo Grove, in accordance with the terms of the Condominium Property Act of the State of Illinois and the provisions of the Declaration of Condominium Ownership.

The purpose of the Association is to provide recreational and social facilities for its members as well as maintenance, preservation, improvement and architectural control of the units and common areas pursuant to the declaration of Condominium Ownership and Bylaws of the Homeowners Association. Such activities include election of the Board of Directors, management and maintenance of all common areas and structural elements, collection of assessments and enforcement of lien, rights and the general operation and management of Association property

There are five basic types of homes in the Crossings.

Phase I was constructed between 1973 and 1974. It contains 106 units within 16 buildings.

There are nine different types of units in this phase, some simply mirror images of others. Square footage per unit ranges from the smallest, 1,237 to the largest 2,735. It has 82 single car garages and 24 double.

Phase II was constructed between 1975 and 1976. It contains 50 units within 8 buildings.

There are five different types of homes, from 2,171 to 3,815 sq. ft. There are 38 single car garages and 12 doubles.

Phase IV was constructed between 1976 and 1977. It contains 70 units within 10 buildings.

There are seven different types of homes, from 2,171 to 3,815 sq. ft. There are 42 one car garages and 28 doubles.

The Recreation Center (Clubhouse) was constructed in 1974 and is 8,125 square feet. The filter house, built in 1974 is 396 sq. ft. The Storage building (The Barn) was built in 1910 and remodeled in 1973. It is 3,826 sq. ft.
