Suwanee, GA - September marks the eighth annual National Preparedness Month in US history and the second year that web services company,AtHomeNet, Inc., Inc. will participate in this important coalition. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) created the Ready campaign to encourage Americans to take simple precautions to prepare their families and businesses for emergencies of all kinds.

By joining the National Preparedness Month Coalition, AtHomeNet has pledged to take part in several activities encouraging employees and clients to prepare themselves for natural disasters or other types of emergencies including creating email bulletins for clients to send to residents, and sharing tips through various social media networks.

"This initiative aligns perfectly with our objective of giving our clients and their residents the tools they need to communicate whether for daily tasks or in case of a community emergency," said AtHomeNet President and Director of Technology, Jeff Sanders.

This year, FEMA is encouraging members of the coalition to not only create awareness about emergency preparedness, but to provide their families, employees, and communities with the tools they need to prepare. AtHomeNet offers multiple online tools to assist their clients in creating an efficient communication system for their community including an emergency alert system, email notifications, and integration with the popular social network, Facebook.

"Last year during National Preparedness Month, we introduced our MultiConnect system, a service that allows community managers to send residents emails, voice calls and text messages directly from their website in case of an emergency. It has been well-received by clients as part of their community crisis communication plans," reported Director of Sales and Marketing, Mike Curtis.
